Hábito
Hierba anual de hasta 15 cm de largo (tallos florales 2 cm de largo)
Características claves para su identificación
Esta especie es cercana a Chaetanthera limbata (D.Don) Less. y Chaetanthera pubescens A.M.R.Davies, pero se le distingue por tener largos pelos filamentosos, compuestos por varias celular amontonadas (hasta 5), en la base de las hojas y a lo largo del margen del pecíolo (Davies 2010)
