Habit

Erect or decumbent annual or perennial 50–100 cm tall.

Key characteristics

Easily identified by the size of the flowers which are much smaller (5–7 mm in diameter) than any of the other related species. The leaf segments are only about 1 mm wide, and are much narrower than those of either S. remyanum or S. multifidum.

Notes

Seed of this species is banked by the national seed bank of Chile, INIA.
