Desert and Desert fog oases (Lomas)

Distribution and habitat

Very limited distribution in two disjunct localities, one in a coastal area near to Antofagasta and the second close to Tocopilla. Very dry coastal hills in the fog zone from 100–1020 metres above sea level. Associated vegetation includes: Ephedra breana, Eulychnia iquiquensis and Nolana peruviana (Luebert et al. 2007)

Habit

Decumbent shrub, 10-30 cm tall. Flowering from September to November
