Distribution and habitat

Restricted to Region Antofagasta where it occurs on the slopes of Morro Moreno (on Peninsula Mejillones), in Quebrada La Plata and Caleta El Cobre. It grows on stony slopes in the coastal fog desert from near to seal level to 1000 m (Morro Moreno).
