    Habit

    Shrub or woody-based perennial 0.5-2 m tall. Flowering from September to January

    Key characteristics

    The only species of Eremocharis native to Chile.

    Regions

    Tarapacá, Antofagasta and Atacama

    Distribution and habitat

    Restricted to desert plains in northern Chile from 200-700 metres above sea level.

    Notes

    Seed of this species is banked by the national seed bank of Chile, INIA.
