Habit

Subshrub with flowering stems to 20 cm long

Key characteristics

A rhizomatous perennial herb that is similar to C. virgata,but differs in its ascending flowering stems, up to 20 cm long, green linear-lanceolate leaves, 10–25 mm long, and longer inflorescences and flowers. It also resembles C. navasiae but differs in its broader (2–4 mm vs.0.5–2 mm) leaves and umbel-shaped inflorescence (Teillier et al., 2018).
