Distribution and habitat
Only found as a small population on Alejandro Selkirk Island. Here it is associated with Myrceugenia schulzei, Libertia chilensis, Peperomia berteroana, Gaultheria racemulosa, Blechnum chilense, Polystichum tetragonum and Gunnera masafuerae
