Distribution and habitat
Restricted to northern Chile from Antofagasta to northern Coquimbo. Desert areas from 50-300 metres above sea-level.

Habit
Delicate, decumbent or spreading annual herb 1-25 cm tall. Flowering from September to December
Key characteristics
Unlike any other Chilean species of Asteriscium in having finely dissected basal leaves.
Notes
Seed of this species is banked by the national seed bank of Chile, INIA.
