Distributed in the Andes from southern Coquimbo to Colchagua, at elevations of 2300-3500 metres.

Habit
Slender, spreading or ascending annual herb from 10-30 cm. Flowering from December to February.
Key characteristics
Although very easily identified from all other species of Asteriscium by its entire, orbicular leaves, it can however, be confused with small-leaved forms of Pozoa coriacea.
