Atacama and Coquimbo

Distribution and habitat

It has a broad distribution from near to Potrerillos (26°27'S) in the Cordillera de Chañaral (Región de Atacama) to Carén (31°24'S) in the Cordillera de Illapel (Región de Coquimbo). It grows on well-drained mountain slopes between 2900 to 3700 m above sea level.

Habit

Perennial herb up to 12 cm tall. Flowers in January.
