Distribution and habitat

Only known from a Alejandro Selkirk Island (Más Afuera). It is frequent on rocky valley slopes from 900 to 1300 m above sea level. In the subalpine habits it can be associated with Erigeron ingae, Lophosoria quadripinnata, Oreobolus obtusangulus and Sticherus lepidotus (Penneckamp, 2018).

Habit

Matt-forming perennial herb, woody at base, flowering stems up to 9.5 cm tall. Flowers from February to March. Fruiting from March onwards.
