Distribution and habitat
Resitricted to coastal locations from Alto Punta Gruesa (south of Iquique) in Region Tarapacá, south to Cobija in quebrada Aguada (Region Antofagasta). Its coastal distribution is restricted to fog oasis.

Notes
Ophryosporus anomalus has been cited for Peru, however, the localities mentioned there (“...Cobija, Iquiqui et Arica”) are now situated in Chile, and all other reports originate from the coastal zone around Tocopilla (Merklinger &, Luebert, 2020).
