Conservation status

  • Endangered (Zizka et al. (2009))

Notes

The distribution of this species is incompletely known. According to Zizka (2002) some specimens are not easy to discriminate from 0. litoralis, but in their opinion the distribution and altitudinal range justifies maintenance of 0. andina as a separate species.

Seed of this species is banked by the national seed bank of Chile, INIA.
