Desert, Desert fog oases (Lomas), Mediterranean and Coastal matorral

Distribution and habitat

This coastal species has a discontinuous distribution with its southern population ranging from Punta Teatinos to south of Choros and a northern population occurring from the Río Huasco north to Paposo . It is a component of the desert fog oasis but also occurs in drier locations amongst thorny scrub.

Seed of this species is banked by the national seed bank of Chile, INIA.
