Habitat

Desert and Desert fog oases (Lomas)

Distribution and habitat

Restricted to south of Antofagasta along the coast close to Paposo on the way to Caleta El Cobre. It grows in very arid areas which are not exposed to the coastal fog (camanchaca). The habitat is also shared with Copiapoa solaris.
