Key characteristics

This variable species is usually easily distinguished from all other South American species by its leaves which have bifurcate auricles combined with pink flowers with corollas 2–2.5 cm long.

Antofagasta, Atacama, Coquimbo, Valparaíso, Metropolitana, Del General Libertador Bernardo O'Higgins, Biobío and Ñuble

Distribution and habitat

Restricted to central Chile from Antofagasta south to Santiago.

Notes

Seed of this species is banked by the national seed bank of Chile, INIA.
