Distribution and habitat

Found in the Coquimbo Region, in the provinces of Elqui and Limarí. It grows mainly in coastal environments, in sandy soils (Teillier & Ibáñez, 2025)

Notes

Seed of this species is banked by the national seed bank of Chile, INIA.
