Distribution and habitat

Occurs between the provinces of Copiapó and Marí (27° 30'-30° 30 lat. S), between 600-3500 metres above sea-level. It grows on gravel slopes, screes and amongst boulders. Flowers from November to January.

Habit

Annual herb with flowering stems 1-10 cm long

Key characteristics

Similar to C. limbata but differs in having the surface of the leaf covered in glands (Davies 2010).
