Synonyms

Annual to 20 cm tall. Flowers from September to January.

Key characteristics

C. glabrata differs from the other Tylloma Group species (eg. Chaetanthera frayjorgensis , Chaetanthera schroederi), which have entire leaf margins because it has no indumentum, although the pseudopetioles are dotted with glandular teeth

Antofagasta, Atacama, Coquimbo, Valparaíso and Metropolitana

Distribution and habitat

It has a disjunct distribution between the provinces of Antofagasta and Limarí (25 °-31 ° lat. S) and between the provinces of Chacabuco and Cordillera (33 °-34 ° lat. S), between 0-2200 m above sea level. In the northern part of its range it is restricted to ravines near the coast, but from the Region of Coquimbo its distribution extends inland (Ovalle and Cordillera de Santiago). It grows in well-drained substrates especially on screes and in dry quebradas (Davies 2010)
