Distribution and habitat

A narrow endemic species only found in two locations in the Constitución Province. It occurs in the coastal mountains matorral & sclerophyllous forest Adesmia elegans, Baccharis rhomboidalis subsp. truncata, Escallonia pulverulenta, Ribes punctatum and Ugni molinae (Hahn & Gómez, 2008).

Shrub to 2m tall

Notes

Adesmia bijuga occurs on private properties which historically have been subject to deforestation. The natural habitat is now highly threatened due to encroachment of Pinus radiata, additionally, forest fires in recent years represents a further threat.
